V2-52 Who Is Jesus?
Walking Talking Bible Project
In Dt 4:5-8, what land were God’s people about to enter and possess? What would happen if they observed God’s statutes and ordinances? Is Dt 4:5-8 connected to Rev 21:1-4? If so, how? Consider 1 Co 15:24-25. How does this description of Jesus differ from the popular image of Jesus often depicted in our culture and in our churches? These are just some of the questions to consider in this week’s edition of the Walking Talking Bible Project.
Bible Passages

Memory Passage: Isaiah 40:5a
Isaiah 40:5a
5 And the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all humanity together will see it.
Connection Passage #1: Deuteronomy 4:5–8
Deuteronomy 4:5–8
5 See, I have taught you statutes and ordinances just as the LORD my God has commanded me, so that you may follow them in the land that you are about to enter and possess.
6 Observe them carefully, for this will show your wisdom and understanding in the sight of the peoples, who will hear of all these statutes and say, “Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.”
7 For what nation is great enough to have a god as near to them as the LORD our God is to us whenever we call on Him?
8 And what nation is great enough to have righteous statutes and ordinances like this entire law I set before you today?
Connection Passage #2 Revelation 21:1–4
Revelation 21:1–4
1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.
2 I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying: “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man, and He will dwell with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them as their God.
4 ‘He will wipe away every tear from their eyes,’ and there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the former things have passed away.”
Connection Passage #3: 1 Corinthians 15:24–28
1 Corinthians 15:24–28
24 Then the end will come, when He hands over the kingdom to God the Father after He has destroyed all dominion, authority, and power.
25 For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet.
26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death.
27 For “God has put everything under His feet.” Now when it says that everything has been put under Him, this clearly does not include the One who put everything under Him.
28 And when all things have been subjected to Him, then the Son Himself will be made subject to Him who put all things under Him, so that God may be all in all.
